While I don't yet fully grasp what we're going to be doing for Project 2, I'm aware that it concerns quite a lot, especially in the realm of sound design, recording, and expressing our personal lives and experiences through both of those things. When it comes to the homework for the project itself, I plan to record a number of mundane sounds that I experience regularly, rather than anything directly intentional, like the (surprisingly loud) blowing of an air conditioner, the sound of footsteps across pavement, and maybe the sound of a lecture class having a muffled discussion. I understand that these aren't anything we're supposed to edit, and so striving to find these sounds rather than intentionally creating them seems like the best way to go about this phase of the project, while we're still drawing up ideas and deciding on what we want to do overall.
I'm aware that we're all going to be aggregating our acquired audio together, and so getting good mundane effects that the majority of people will be capable of using effectively seems like a generally wise idea, rather than really strange, particular sounds that would be hard to find a use for. Still, if I get the chance, it would be very enjoyable to record something unexpected or funny, from the sound of a wild animal to other audio that people wouldn't be able to guess the source of no matter how hard they tried. Ultimately, I'm aware that Project 2 will be a far more collaborative effort than the first project, and that means we're all working on this together, so finding efficient ways to contribute seems to be the way to go!
